Luck, some say that it only works if you believe in it, some say that if you dont believe in good luck, then you cant believe in bad luck either, and some say that some people are lucky and some arent. While I am not here to disprove anything, I would like to discuss the logic and luck behind a broken mirror.
A broken mirror is said to bring the culprit bad luck right? But how can something like luck appear so randomly? Negative energy cannot simply be created. So here is how it goes.
The act of breaking a mirror will bring you bad luck.
However, there can be no action without an equal and opposite reaction.
So that means that breaking a mirror must also yield good luck.
If the breaker receives the bad luck, it must mean that the broken mirror itself receives good luck.
Therefore, the shards of the mirror become lucky.
In conclusion, if the breaker carries around the shards of the broken mirror, is should inherently cancel out the bad luck, as a result the level of luck is set back to zero for that event.
But, there are some fluctuations when it comes to luck. For example, passing under a ladder would bear very different results. Because the mirror plays a key part in its destruction and application of luck, the object itself becomes part of the equation, but the ladder itself has no direct influence on that which it passes under it, therefore it cannot be infused with luck, bad or good. It is simply the area under the ladder which has the power. So, if a ladder is set up and one passes through it, they get imbued with the negative force of bad luck, but the opposite reaction, the good luck, because it has no object to react with, remains in the area under the ladder. But because walking under a ladder is unlucky, the next person will not receive the aura of good luck, the bad luck that is then generated from the act cancels out the good luck that was left there from before. So the person who passes through it would receive no good or bad luck from their action. Instead that action would generate a new aura of good luck, simply to be cancelled out the next time a person walks under it, which will continue until the ladder is closed, dispersing the good luck aura and making it moot. Hence, a ladder is simply unlucky for the first person to walk under it.
Of course all this only matters if you believe it does.
This has been a result of procrastination; now get back to that work that youve been putting off.
